SUMMARY:Giving Tuesday 2022
DESCRIPTION:Giving Tuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Our global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity worldwide\, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. Whether it’s making someone smile\, helping a neighbor or stranger out\, showing up for an issue or people we care about\, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help\, every act of generosity counts\, and everyone has something to give. For this year’s Giving Tuesday fundraiser event\, we want to focus on raising money for our Housing Inclusive service\, Inclusive Rental Assistance Program (IRAP). \nIRAP began in 2020 with a grant from the Robert H. Spitz Foundation administered by the Scranton Area Community Foundation that awarded NEPA Inclusive $10\,000 for rental assistance for five people with disabilities in Lackawanna County. With the generosity of our donors and the Robert H. Spitz Foundation\, we have been able to start helping people with disabilities live in affordable housing in safe areas within the community by paying a percentage of their rent monthly. Through this program\, we can help people with disabilities reach their goals of independence and inclusivity. \nWe want to tell you a little about our Inclusive Rental Assistance Program (IRAP) and one of our biggest client success stories benefiting from this service. Robyn G.\, a client of NEPA Inclusive\, is a hard-working single mother of four children – David\, Adam\, Thomas\, and Kylie. Robyn lives independently in her own home through utilizing our Inclusive Rental Assistance Program (IRAP) services. Robyn currently works at Alfredo’s restaurant in Scranton. She loves to help others\, giving back to the community in her spare time. \nPlease donate to help us help everyone live where they choose. Where someone lives is a very personal decision. NEPA Inclusive offers a wide range of housing supports to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Autism plan for\, find\, and maintain a place to call home.
